At Crystal D "We Turn Emotions Into Memories!"® by creating corporate awards that embody the recognition experience as felt by the recipient. We use the following processes to make a lasting impact: Deep Etching Crystal D strives for the best in quality, which is why each crystal award is etched by hand. Glass artisans use their expertise to ensure that the depths of each etch is consistent. A Deep Etch is .02" to .05” deep. Awards are etched on the back, or reverse, side of the award - this is called a "reverse etch”. A reverse etch gives an award more reflective highlights and greater dimension. Engraving Engraving involves carving grooves into a hard flat surface. Engraving is commonly used to inscribe a message onto silver or gold jewelry or serving platters. However, Crystal D uses an engraving technique to create custom printed plates out of copper and other metals. Laser Engraving Laser Engraving uses lasers to engrave, etch or mark an award. The technique is very complex and often requires a computer system to guide the laser. Because this process is so precise, laser engraving creates a high quality imprint. Illumachrome Any four-color photo may be transferred to a crystal award using the Illumachrome process. Images appear multi-dimensional and vibrant, with plenty of space for personalization. The Illumachrome process is available on many Crystal D awards - look for the Illumachrome icon next to your favorite award. Hand-Painted Crystal An image or montage can be hand-painted inside a brilliant crystal sphere by artisans who detail photo memories. This award perfectly commemorates a corporate anniversary, merger, acquisition, new building, or product introduction. Crystal 3D Imaging 3D imaging creates a subsurface imprint inside a crystal award. A high-tech laser fractures the body of the award producing a clear 3D image. No image is too big, too small or too intricate for this subsurface technology. Crystal 3D Imaging is available on many Crystal D awards - look for the 3D imaging icon next to your favorite award. |
