Objective

A local bank wanted to increase the number of services their clients used by 20 percent. The organization developed a sales incentive program targeted at bank tellers. Management decided to run a pilot program for 3 months to test the effectiveness of the sales incentive program.

Strategy

To kick-off the 3-month program, management presented the crystal Slanted Star Paperweight crystal award to each employee. The crystal paperweight sat in front of the bank tellers to act as a constant reminder to sell extra services.

At the end of the pilot program, the bank teller at each branch with the largest increase in sales received the majestic 8” crystal Champion Pedestal Star award. The top-selling teller of all the branches received the beautiful 10 ½” crystal Champion Pedestal Star award.

Management deemed the pilot program a success, and this sales incentive/recognition award program is now a regular part of internal operations.
