Crystal D, a Leading Supplier of Crystal Awards, Selected as a Winner for 2009 PPAI Supplier Achievement Awards

July 22, 2008 – St. Paul, Minn. – www.crystal-d.com – Crystal D, a leading supplier of crystal awards and corporate gifts was selected as a winner in two categories for the 2009 Promotional Products Association International Supplier Achievement Awards.

The categories Crystal D has been selected for are “Etching-Engraving” and “Special Processes Not Otherwise Categorized”.

Crystal D submitted the crystal Trenton Crescent for the “Etching-Engraving” category. This crystal award was etched using a multiple layered etching process requiring great attention to detail. After each layer of the mask is etched, another layer of the mask is peeled off. This creates a tremendous amount of detail and depth in the final product.
Hand-Painted SphereHand-Painted Sphere
For the category, “Special Processes Not Otherwise Categorized,” the crystal Hand-Painted Sphere was submitted.

An image is hand-painted on the inside of the sphere using only a photo as a guideline. Using tiny paintbrushes, the artisans paint the inside of the sphere through the hole at the bottom.

Crystal D will be recognized at the PPAI Awards Dinner with the Gold or Silver award during The PPAI Expo in Las Vegas in January 2009.
