Bridget Dahlgren, marketing coordinator; Angela Wurst, marketing coordinator; Matt Schramm, production craftsman, and Tone Contreras, production manager, made up Crystal D’s two participating teams.

The scavenger hunt-like race, patterned after The Amazing Race, included a qualifying round in the morning with no more than 20 teams of two people competing in the final race in the afternoon. Crystal D’s teams completed 5 challenges during the qualification round. The challenges included an obstacle course, a Metro Transit quiz, trivia and a food challenge. Crystal D’s teams did not qualify for the final race.

Teams were asked to fundraise as part of the race. Teams who raised $1,000 or more received a one-minute head start at the qualifying race and teams who raised $2,000 or more automatically qualified for the final race.

Crystal D raised more than $1,600 to help The Salvation Army surpass its overall goal of $35,000 raised.

“The MOST Amazing Race was such a great experience,” says Bridget Dahlgren, marketing coordinator. “We didn’t know what to expect, but it was fun to participate in the event, as well as raise money for such an important cause.”

This is the first year Crystal D participated in The MOST Amazing Race.
