Why Do Employees Leave

Why Do Employees Leave?

Many components effect the employee’s decision to stay or leave a workplace. Employees report that they leave for a variety of reasons. However, the search for more money usually does not top the list. Instead, poor corporate culture, poor work conditions, and little opportunity for advancement trigger the migration.

Exceptional employees come to work looking for personal fulfillment and often decide to leave when their hard work is unrecognized. Most employees leave their place of work because they are unrecognized and under-appreciated.

Contrary to popular belief, employees form a loyalty to their manager, not the company they work for.  When managers do not recognize employees their productivity decreases and they become complacent. Complacency often leads to unhappiness - then the job-hunting begins.
