Laurie - Customer Service

My name is Laurie, and I work in customer service.

I was born in Iowa and moved around a lot as a kid before we settled in Minnesota in 1997. I've previously worked in the hospitality industry - specifically hotels - for 18 years before joining Crystal D. I stepped out of that industry for family balance, but I love working as a team to create an exceptional experience which is why I love being here!

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. Some of my hobbies include making art with my daughter and spending as much time outdoors as possible. I love hiking, biking, and gardening. At the end of 2022, my daughter joined the Girl Scouts, and I became a Girl Scouts volunteer. I love helping the girls complete their badges and help with their outings.

Something Surprising: In my last year in hospitality, I was a general manager for AmericInn by Wyndham and was awarded General Manager of the Year!

Favorite Award: My favorite award is the Ocean Award. I love the creativity behind the colors as well as the natural imperfections. The award itself reminds me of ripples in the water, and I love the outdoors!
