SUSTAINABILITY AT CRYSTAL D

Crystal D is in the business of honoring people for their accomplishments, and we strive to do this while being good stewards of our world. Our approach to sustainability focuses on three areas: materials, waste reduction, and community involvement.

  1. Materials

Our crystal awards and gifts are created to last a lifetime, becoming treasured keepsakes that recipients cherish. We offer a range of design options that incorporate high-quality, environmentally friendly materials, such as our natural wood plaques and the exclusive awards featured in our Eco Gallery. The pieces within the Eco Gallery are crafted with materials including sustainable woods and locally sourced recycled glass, honoring our environment as well as those who receive them.

  2. Waste Reduction

We seek to minimize waste in the production of our products by implementing practices that help reduce waste and inefficiencies. For example, Crystal D has operated with a paperless order process for more than 15 years, and we provide customers with visually detailed virtual renderings of their designs prior to production. Additionally, our Memory Makers are trained on practices to ensure accuracy in the proofing process, as well as techniques to protect fragile materials during handling.

  3. Community Involvement

Crystal D has a long tradition of giving back that’s rooted in the generosity of our late founder, Chuck Dahlgren. In his honor, Crystal D has curated 10 exclusive awards for our Legacy Gallery, and 20 percent of every product sale is donated to charitable organizations working to support areas such as the environment, vulnerable populations, and health and research causes. In addition, our employees actively support hunger relief through ongoing donations to a local food shelf, as well as gathering to pack nutritious meals for distribution worldwide. When customers choose to work with Crystal D, they are choosing more than just a supplier. They are selecting a company that values our world and the people in it. We work every day to honor both, in what we do and how we do it.
